A substantial review of Orthodox By Design, by Oz Frankel, has appeared in the journal, Topia: Canadian Journal of Cultural Studies (Vol. 25, 2011, pp.265-8). There is no e-version of the journal, so you need to ask your local library to subscribe (a worthwhile effort, it's an outstanding journal). You can read more information about the journal here.

As I have just learned, a review of Orthodox By Design appeared in The Jewish Journal of Sociology, written by Simcha Fishbane (vol.52, 2010, pp.75-78). Unfortunately, this periodical is not available electronically, so interested readers should consult with their local library for gaining access.

OBD Chosen as Finalist for Jewish Book Council Prize

"Orthodox By Design" has been chosen as a finalist for the 2010 Nahum M. Sarna Memorial Award, in the "Scholarship" category of the National Jewish Book Council Awards (NYC)!
